I’m delighted that the online magazine The Puritan will be publishing my new short fiction ‘Hanged Man’ this fall.
A family member once asked me why I always go to the dark places. I was a bit non-plussed. Don’t we all? Don’t we live there? It’s not just mortality that hangs there so persistently, so insistently, in the back room of our minds. It’s also a sense of precariousness, of a life that seemed perfectly fine but that at any moment might just not quite work out. . .
Hanged Man appears in issue #35 of The Puritan
